I am all about multitasking. For me, one of the best ways to do this is to listen to podcasts. I realize I’m several years behind on this, but bear with me, because maybe some of you haven’t quite discovered the awesomeness of podcasts yet either. (They’re FREE and if you have an iPhone, you already have the capability to listen to them right there on your home screen!) I know it sounds weird, but I truly believe I work better when I’m listening to podcasts at the same time. I have some that I listen to just for entertainment, some serve as motivation, and others make me feel like I actually learned something. Here are some of my favorites for you!
•Happier with Gretchen Rubin — Gretchen is the author of several great books, like The Happiness Project and Happier At Home. She and her sister host this podcast together, and it includes great tips for finding happiness in your life and developing better habits.
•Young House Love Has A Podcast — I have been a faithful blog reader of YHL’s for around 8 years now. Their blog is sadly no more, but the podcast has been a great way for me to keep up with their lives and learn great home decorating and design tips.
•So Money — This one is a recent find for me, but so far, I think I’m going to love it! It’s very motivational and makes me weirdly excited about saving and investing our money.
•The Bobby Bones Show — Bobby Bones’ radio show has gotten me through my morning commute for several years now, so I was so excited to find that the Podcasts app (or Stitchr, or iTunes, or wherever you listen to podcasts) has his show that you can play back in its entirety!
•Business Boutique — (shout out to my sweet friend Amy Hutton on this one!!) This podcast is put out through Dave Ramsey’s company, Ramsey Solutions, and is especially geared toward women who want to start their own business. I don’t have a business of my own, but when I listen to this podcast, I totally feel empowered to go start one! 🙂
•Straight Talk With Ross Matthews — In case you don’t remember Ross from his days with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, he is HILARIOUS. I don’t necessarily learn a lot from this one, but man am I entertained!
I am always looking for new podcasts to listen to, so please mention any podcasts you’re loving in the comments!
